Connection fails each hour

Hello People..

About a week ago I decided to formate my computer(I've done this plenty of times before) And while I was at It I Thought that I'd download all the drivers for Chipset and such. (I had never done this before and thought that It wouldn't hurt in installing something that was meant for your computer.)

However after installing everything, I got online on MSN, Everything worked, until 1 hour of use - the internet died for a second, I got Disconnected from MSN and I was able to reconnect immediately after being disconnected. I got no error message at all and so everything was working again. I checked everything and everything was in order.

I installed WoW And got online playing. One hour later I got disconnected and i thought that this was not an coincidence. I started monitoring my connection and after some time and many disconnects i figured out that I was disconnected at the Minute, and seconds the time I started up the computer, meaning after exactly 1 hour of use.

I called my ISP and they said that everything was OK, but that my computer did something wierd , and they saw it in their logs, but they had no explanation to it as the other 2 computers in the home did work properly and had no problems at all.

I went to the store and bought myself a new Network card, a 1gigabyte one.. An expensive one.. Im running on a 100/100 fiber connection and this have never been an issue before. This didnt work with the new network card and freshly installed drivers, so I formated my HDD again, Same problem, after exactly one hour of use i got disconnected - Notice how its down for approximately 0.01 seconds, and then goes right back up again, with no error message at all.

Ive been looking around on these boards and havent find anything like this, I hope someone has encountered the same issue and have a possible explanation and perhaps a fix for it.

Specs:
Dell XPS Gen 5
100/100mbit Fiber connection (1gigabyte networkcard)
Windows XP Pro
Intel Pentium D 3.2Ghz

Deepest regards
Alexander

To help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Note the time for "Lease Expires".  Does this correspond to the time that you lose the internet connection?

Update!

Its now 01:43)
Now 30minutes later from the Connection failed I go Run -> Cmd -> Ipconfig/All and i get this:

Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . . : Tuesday, June 26, 2007 01:40:52

Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . . : Tuesday, June 26, 2007 02:40:52

- But im somewhat sure that the connection still will fail me in 30minutes. I will stay up and give you an update on whats happening in 30minutes.

Well yes. I actually think it does.. My connection just failed, and its now 01:11 (My clock 24hour format GMT+1 (Stockholm)) and when i go into CMD -> Ipconfig/all it tells me this :

Lease Obtained . . . . . . . . . . : Tuesday, June 26, 2007 01:10:52

Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . .: Tuesday, June 26, 2007 02:10:52

I noticed that it keeps obtain and expire every hour.. This shouldn't be.. As im concerned it should Obtain and expire once every 24th hour now, should it? Regards Alexander

Now the connection died again, and its back up. watch being approximately 02:11 .

Doing : Run -> CMD -> Ipconfig/All : tells me this:

Lease Obtained . . . . . . . . . . . : Tuesday, June 26, 2007 02:10:52

Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . . .: Tuesday, June 26, 2007 03:10:52

So there is definitely a "lease"-related problem. Anyone know what I should do in order to get this fixed?
I am not using a modem or router or such, Im connected directly through the wall, the dose (Fiber connection).

Deepest regards
Alex
