Contacting technical support

How is it possible to contact anyone? The UK phone lines are down. The Austrian support does not cover us in Hungary - and here I am in hospital with a laptop that is failing faster than I am. Any suggestions on how I can register the problems and start trying to find solutions?

Welcome to the forums Alan :emotion-21:

I don't know which department you want specifically, but you'll find various telephone numbers listed here and here?

But there are alternative support options to the telephone of course.

From what's been said in many forums threads/posts, I wouldn't be placing too much faith in emails, but you could try this Dell UK 'Customer Service' form?

Finally... there's the 'Online Chat' option.  But it appears to depend on which specific product you've bought?

For instance - 'Dell Chat' isn't offered for my XPS M1730!?  When I select that option, a page opens with the following message:

Thank you for selecting Dell Chat, however we regret that at this time Dell Chat is not yet available for your product.

I've been seeing that same message since I bought the laptop back in April 2008, so how much longer is it gonna take until the online chat option is available to UK customers :emotion-39:

And if the £2,000+ I spent on their most expensive laptop (at the time) doesn't entitle me to chat in real time with Dell UK tech support, what does it take :emotion-40:
