D420 Wireless disconnect with lid close.... Please help

I have a D420 and the power settings are set to do "nothing" when I close the lid. For some reason, when I close the lid the wireless card shuts off, so now my outlook wont get emails and when I open the lid, it takes a while to boot the wireless back up. Sometimes the wireless never comes back up so I need to do a repair to it. Does anyone know how to make the wireless not turn off when I close the lid?

Thank you very much

It would be helpful to know which wireless network adapter you have on the computer. Try setting the power management options on the wireless card to always supply full power.

Open Network Connections, right click your wireless connection and select Properties.  Click on the Configure button, then on the Advanced tab.  Find Power Save Mode, select it, and use the arrow box to disable it.  You might also need to disable Minimum Power Consumption.

Hi,

I've bought a second hand D420 with a dock (DELL D/Dock Expansion Station for Latitude D Series) and I've got the same problem with wifi adapter as Kkhezarjian had.

Although I disabled "Power Safe Mode" and also "Minimum Power Consumption", I still cannot manage the wifi adapter to connect with lid closed (and laptop docked).

In the OS I've set "Do nothing (no action), when lid closed", of course...

Any other suggestions?

Thanks :)
