D600 ethernet controller driver?
I just purchased a 2nd hand latitude d600. I installed all hardware okay but only one thing remains and its the ethernet controller driver. I have looked in the Dell download site where I got all the other drivers but I don't know what driver to chose for the ethernet controller. Is it the one under the Communication heading? or the Network heading. If its the Network heading, then what would be the appropriate one. If its the Communication, then it must be the truemobile 5100 pc card...right? I would like to plug directly into the laptop for the internet.
Please help!

The list under "Network Drivers" is where you'll find Ethernet device drivers. It looks like there is only one integrated adapter offered with the D600 - the Broadcom 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller.
If you reinstalled XP, you should reinstall the Intel Mobile Chipset drivers before any other drivers. They are necessary in order for any of the integrated devices to be recognized correctly.

Did you try the driver I referenced in my reply to the person who originated this thread? If you did, you should start a new thread and explain your problem more fully. The original poster wasn't having a USB problem, so starting a new thread with more detail whould be the best way to get help.
