d620 and wireless networking (Cannot get an ip address when using WPA-PSK Security)

I am testing out a Demo Dell d620 and it is not doing well on the wireless test.
I am using the built in Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN mini-card and I have installed the latest drivers for it.

Note:
The problem is that the laptop never gets an IP address if I switch the router over to WPA-PSK.
I have tried all the tricks, rebooting the computer, disabling\re-enabling the adapter.
Removing the wireless network from "Preferred Networks" section in the Windows XP order of preferred networks.
Rebooting the router, setting up a new wireless network (New SID).

The strange thing is that everything works fine if I use no security or WEP security.
Also, WPA2 does not work at all.  The laptop will not even try to connect to WPA2.

I have noticed that on the laptop I can choose between different types of data encryption:
TKIP and
AES
I have tried both but no luck.

FYI:
I am using a Dlink DI-624 router.

Thoughts?

Update:

If I manualy configure the IP address on the D620 then my wireless connection works.
I set it back to DHCP and again I have the same problem.

Notes:
This is a vanilla install with no special applications installed.
No security apps, not even a virus scanner.
Windows Firewall is off.
The computer is clean because I just installed Windows XP Pro SP2 last week.

I'm assuming that you meant to say that "WPA" works if you configure the D620 with a static IP (manually input an IP address)?
If this is the case, then maybe your "DI-624" might have a problem assigning an IP address to the "Dell Wireless 1390" using WPA & DHCP.

Some of the earlier DI-624 WPA2 firmware’s also had some WPA2/DHCP problems with some wireless adapters...

We have the "D-Link DI-624 rev. C" and we were using "WPA2-auto/TKIP" (firmware version 2.71b7) with two "Intel 2915 wireless cards" (I-6000d & I-9300) and a "D-Link DWL-G650 wireless card" (I-8000), with no problems. I've also had other notebooks connect to our DI-624, with no problems...
For comments about this firmware from other DI-624 users, "click here".

I've just upgraded to the latest US firmware (2.76) and we're now using WPA2/AES, since the 2.76 has no WPA2-auto. I'm still testing it out...
Other DI-624 users comments on this firmware are "here". For comments on the BETA version of this firmware, "click here".

If you haven't yet, check to see if you've got the latest driver for your "Dell Wireless 1390" ("click here").

Aloha,
Rod

FYI:

It looks like the problem was with my router not with the Dell.
I have patched the router a few times so I didn't bother checking the router patches because they normally sort out all the major bugs in the first few patches.

Anyways, the router has a patch 2.76 that fixes the following issue, "Fixed wpa/wpa2 psk cannot get ip issue".

I haven't tested it yet but that should fix this problem.
