DCOM Error - Event ID 10009
About every minute an error is generated in the System Event Log. The error relates to DCOM not being able to contact a computer on the network.
This started happening after installing a Dell Laser Printer 1100 that is
connected to a computer on the network.
The description of the event is as follows...
Event ID: 10009
Source: DCOM
Description:
DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer using any of the
configured protocols.
I have checked the registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Rpc/DCOM_Protocols:
ncacn_ip_tcp
ncacn_spx
ncacn_nb_nb
ncacn_nb_ipx
Can anyone help?
