dell dimensions wont configure

Question

Ok I just got my new computer and laptop 2 days ago and I tried to set up my wireless connection but every time I do it does fine until it comes time to configure the wireless router then it tell me windows cannot configure it. So what am I doing wrong. I double checked the connections and everything was connected right. I am running windows xp professional and have the dimensions 8400

This is a good question for the networking forum. Please don't forget to mention what router you are using and what wireless card you have in your Dimension.

Your post has been moved to the Network forum.  It would now be helpful if you would tell us which model router you have.  Furthermore, if you are installing software to configure the router, uninstall it and use the routers built in web based configuration utility.   Steve
