Dell Inspiron 9400

Question

I just recectly took my computer to the local library to use the public wireless connection and it worked, went back 2 days later and it wouldn't work. It kept saying little or no connection. I don't know to much about this kind of thing, but any help would be nice. It would show great connection speed but wouldn't do anything,  it would try to aquire an IP address but it would get so far and then quit So please,help me

When it didn't work, are you sure it was trying to connect to the Library's wireless and not some nearby secured network?  Did you check with the Library to make sure that their network was operating properly?   A one-time 'didn't work' is awfully difficult to troubleshoot.   Steve

I checked with the Lady in the Library and she looked at the router and stuff and she said that everything was working fine.  She said that she didn't know to much about it.  But she did say that it maybe just a bad time to try hooking up, and to try to do it again some other day.  They use linskys. She even rebooted my computer thinking that maybe that would do the trick.  But it didn't.
