Dell Latitude X300 Modem Cannot Be Installed

Question

hello everyone, i actually installed my own operating system (Win Xp Pro) everything else is fine but i am having ptoblem installing dell latitude x300's dialup modem, i tried to download and driver from driver section and install it, it continues but then says driver cannpt be installed. any help plz thankx in advance

Check device manager to see if there are any unknown devices and post back what they are. thankx for replying, i checked the device manager and there is one unknown device, which says 'PCI Modem'   and when i run the modem driver utility, it says 'a problem is found, do you want to fix it?' and if i says/click yes then it ask for the driver cd which i don't have any. so what should i do now?

Download this utility and run it, see if it will give a model number for the unknown modem, post back, you can also use this utility to try and find, download, and install the correct driver for you. See the screen shot.     http://www.zhangduo.com/udi.html

Do you know if this is a wireless card?   Did this Card come in the Dell when you purchased it from Dell?   Did you try the 'find driver' function of the utility?

i ran that software and it gave me this

thankx for your help but even that did not help and no yhis is not a wireless card i am not really sure if it is the card that came with the laptop bcz it is my friends comp anything else we can try?
