Dell: Please fix your 1370 Driver

Dell, please fix your 1370 WLAN Mini-PCI internal wireless card driver software.

I have a new i6000 with a 1370 card and experience repeated crashes of the WLAN card controller. Even with the latest update the crashes persist.

Your driver conflicts with McAfee Virus Scan and causes DCOM errors and system crashes.

Don't you guys ever check your software? This is a long-standing issue with your 1350/1370 drivers conflicting with McAfee and resulting in a variety of system errors and crashes.

How do I know for sure? I removed McAfee and replaced it with PC-cillin and all crashes and errors ceased. The problem is I have a 3 year subscription to McAfee and I'd like to get it to work which is why I paid you for it.

Thanks.

Well, you just found the problem, it's with McAfee not Dell.  Have you asked Mcaffee to fix their problem?

Yes. McAfee says it's Dell's problem.

Bottom line: I paid Dell for my computer which includes the driver software and I also paid Dell for my McAfee subscription which they pushed on me at the time of purchase.

Who's responsibility do think it is to address the conflict now, pal?

I also suspect Mcafee. It is a bloated suite. Better off using other individual apps for secuirty.
