Dell True Mobile 1184 wireless router

I could not connect to the Internet so contacted AT&T.  They got me reconnected.  Now I can connect to the Internet using just my modem;  however when I try to connect through the router I am unsuccessful.  AT&T claims my router is the problem.  Do I need to reconfigure something?  Can anyone help me?
