Dell truemobile 1350 problems

Hello Everyone--

I have an Inspiron 5150 with a Dell truemobile 1350 internal wireless card. This card works o.k. except for the fact that with my linksys 802.11b wireless router I can't keep a consistent connection to anything. I play poker online and I can't stand doing it with this computer because my connection is ALWAYS going out. Its only with this routher too, I have a netgear 802.11G router and everything works fine. I don't think the problem is with the Router though because my girlfriend has a 600m with a Intel wireless card and everything works fine on her computer and the linksys router. Anyone have any ideas what could be going on?

Update the Linksys firmware and the 1350 driver.

In addition to updating the firmware, let Windows Zero Configuration handle the card instead of using the Dell utility.

Mike, How do I "let Windows Zero Configuration handle the card instead of using the Dell utility."?

I, too, am having trouble with my 1350. I have downloaded it's driver, and I still can not get it to work. I keep getting this message from the Hardware Wizard: The following hardware was installed:  WAN Miniport (ATW)  the software for this device is now installed, but may not work correctly.   This device cannot start. (Code 10).

Could this be caused because of the Windows Zero Configuration utility? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, chilly

Just uncheck "let this utility manage the network" box on the network configuration page of the utility. Exit, then doubleclick on the wireless network icon on the right side of the taskbar and you should be in the Windows management. There is probably a box there that says, "Let Windows handle the network" and you should make sure that box is checked.
