Hi,

Do you have a high speed connection like cable or DSL? If yes you are ready to setup a wireless network for accessing network?

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have cable (road runner) access to the internet. Not sure you mean by "you are ready to setup a wireless network for accessing network?" Don't I need to purchase a router to go from the cable modem in order to access the internet wireless? Patsy

I have the 1490 wireless card on my 1501 and using a D-Link DI-624 AirPlus Xtreme G wireless router my internet connection is fast and the signal being good even when 30-40 feet away. I would recommend Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, Belkin they are some of the best routers. There are some good ones on the market right now.

Thanks -- I've been looking at Netgear WGR614 as I think it will work, with no problems, with my new E1505 Dell.

Just received my brand new netgear WGR614v7 router -- I ordered it 'cause the advertisement stated it would work with Vista.  It comes with a "read me first" for Windows Vista sheet -- you have to go online and download a zipped file then create an installation CD with the files (18.5MB) to complete your router installation.  I am so out of my league here.  Has anyone installed this router on a E1505 that can help.  Am getting so disgusted that I am getting sorry I bought a new notebook and just plain can't stand Vista.
