Dell Wireless 1705 802.11b/g/n 2.4ghz - few problems
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop and have had a couple problems with my wireless network card.
- It will often have trouble finding enough free resources. I have already disabled several devices on this computer (webcam, microphone, PCIe FE family controller [LAN device], a Bluetooth Device, and Visual Studio Location Simulator Sensor), but the problem persists. I have attached a screenshot of this problem. This has, on occasion, made my PC (Windows 8) BSOD. Two errors I can remember are something along the lines of "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" and "WHEA_UNCONTROLLABLE_ERROR". Other times it will slow my computer down a lot, making mouse movement jumpy. Eventually it will completely freeze.
- It will occasionally have problems finding networks. It will drop my current connection then be unable to find it. Sometimes it will see other networks, other times it will not see any networks. This has happened on 3 different networks.
It seems like these problems occur more often when my computer is connected to the charger. Any help would be appreciated. I have checked for updated drivers for the card, and it is up to date.
