Dell WLAN Utility - NAP VPN Issue
Hey folks -
Recently I've been tasked with beefing up network security by installing a SSTP VPN w/ NPS. I was pulling my hair out for days because I could not set PEAP connection preferences to check specific CAs during authentication - the settings simply would not stick. This was happening with two laptops that I was using for testing...Turns out the issue is with the WLAN Utility..Uninstalled - was able to configure VPN PEAP preferences just fine. Reinstalled - settings stuck but not to any new VPN connections...
Before I go about reinventing the wheel - anyone ran into this and has a fix?

We are strugging with the exact same issue. We have found that if we reinstall the OS from scratch, the problem does not exist. It appears to only exist on pre-installed OS's on Dell computers. (Maybe other computers too, but we only have Dell.) Research leads us to believe it is a driver/network software conflict. We are removing the network drivers one by one and testing. I will let you know if we resolve.
I think this is something that Dell should be able to answer for us.

Mihart - Figured out what it was for us - the dell wlan utility that gets installed on our laptops. If I uninstall the wlan (this also removes the wireless driver) - create the VPN connection (it will hold it's settings), then reinstall the wlan utility, it'll work. Hope this helps.
