dell xps m1530 wireless

hello, i have an xps m1530 with the dell wireless 1505, i want to upgrade to the intel n card because i heard it was better, and am not getting good range, my question is, can i use the intel 5300 wireless in my laptop (is it compatible), do i have 3 antennas for the intel card in my intel laptop?  will it be better to upgrade or are they about the same
