Desktop having Problem connecting to Internet

I'm currently having problem with the only desktop I have running on a network at my house. This funny thing is all 3 of my labtops DO access the internet and have no problem accessing each other. I just got reid of McFee Anti-Virus on the desktop because it was expired and installed Norton 2006 Anit-Virus, I also upgraded my ram from 256MB to 2GB. Before I did those two mentioned things, I WAS on the internet and able to seach around and do my daily emails on the desktop. Who knows.

Currently the desktop ethernet adapter shows the Priamry DNS Suffix as being blank and the Node type being unknown, and the Default Gateway is also showning up as being blank. I ihave tried manually setting the gateway and i go from having limited or no connecivity to having some (actually reciving packets) but still not being able to access anything. I am running though a Linksys Router and that is running to a Wire-less reciver
on the top of the house for the local Wi-Fi.

I don't know whats going on it is quiet frustrating. Please help.
