Dial-Up Box Auto Appearing

Hi, I have this issue with my Windows Vista; I'm using an Inspiron 1501. The issue is that when pages fail to load, my dial up box automatically appears, asking me if I want to connect. This wouldn't be much of a problem if it didn't constantly appear on some certain websites that load perfectly fine. It's also annoying when I disconnect from the internet and gmail is open, and it keeps trying to connect to gmail talk, making the dial up box appear... If there's some way to disable it from autoappearing, please let me know.

Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools > Internet Options, then click on the Connections tab.   Make sure there is a check mark next to "Never Dial a Connection".

Yay! Thanks. It's silly how IE affects everything else on the laptop even when it's not active...
