Dial Up Connection Box

Question

Very often, the ' Dial Up Connection ' box pops up.  Then the ' Web Page Unavailable While Off Line ' box pops up.  I have DSL.  I' m not ' off line '.  Is there a way to get around this problem?       Also, many times, at the very top of the screen it says ' working off-line '.  Again, I have DSL. and my connection icon at the very bottom of the screen says that my wireless connection is in deed connected.      Any enlightenment would be very much appreciated.

This can be caused by the settings in Internet Explorer. Open the "tools", "internet options", "connections" tab. Check to see that the setting for "never dial a connection" has a dot in it. If not, click on it to put a dot there. Click on the "apply" tab if it comes up, and "ok". I know this worked for this problem when I had it.
