Difficulty connecting to internet through my LAN!

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me! I have lost the LAN icon in my connections. I am trying to connect to the internet via an ethernet cable to my moderm. I can only se the 1394 connection not my other LAN connection. Does anyone know how I can reinstall this icon?
