Is the new motherboard a 2400 motherboard with an integrated network adapter? Did you have to reinstall Windows as well? Did you install the chipset drivers and network controller drivers?
Motherboard is a 2400 with integrated network adapter, at least that is what I was told that I was ordering. In the device manager there is no listing for network adapter driver, windows was reloaded but how do I go about loading the drivers that you listed in your reply.
If you don't have the Dell Resource CD (sometimes called the Utility CD), then you will have to download the drivers on a computer with internet access, copy them to removable media, carry the removable media to the 2400 copy the downloaded files to the 2400s hard drive, then run the files on the 2400. Make sure you install the chipset drivers first. All drivers are at:
Since you never loaded the chipset drivers, it's unlikely that your video drivers and audio drivers are loaded either. So make sure you download and install those as well.
I downloaded chipset drivers and network controller drivers from my laptop and then downloaded to my 2400. Chipset Drivers downloaded successfully and while in downloading Network drivers I receive an error Internal Failure 0X80040707 when preparing to install the Install Shield Wizard for Broadcomm 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller. In my Bios the NIC was disabled, I checked that first also.

So, did you enable the NIC in the BIOS before attempting to install the drivers?
