Dimension 2400/need help installing network adapter
I recently had to purchase a new motherboard and memory card, after installing that now I do not have a network adapter driver now. Can someone tell me how to go about installing that driver

Is the new motherboard a 2400 motherboard with an integrated network adapter? Did you have to reinstall Windows as well? Did you install the chipset drivers and network controller drivers?

If you don't have the Dell Resource CD (sometimes called the Utility CD), then you will have to download the drivers on a computer with internet access, copy them to removable media, carry the removable media to the 2400 copy the downloaded files to the 2400s hard drive, then run the files on the 2400. Make sure you install the chipset drivers first. All drivers are at:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_CEL_2400&os=WW1&osl=EN
Since you never loaded the chipset drivers, it's unlikely that your video drivers and audio drivers are loaded either. So make sure you download and install those as well.

So, did you enable the NIC in the BIOS before attempting to install the drivers?
