Dimension 8300 network controller problem

Question

I recently had to reinstall Windows XP on my Dimension 8300 and everything seems to work fine except for my wireless pci card.  I recieved a message that windows found a network controller but could not find a suitable driver for it which seems to be interfearing with the wireless connection.  I have tried two different cards with the same results.  I also get a popup telling me that there is a wireless network available so I click on 'connect' and nothing happens.  Then the same message pops up about a wireless network being available and the loop continues.  The standard lan connection on the board works fine but I do not have a wired connection where I want the computer.  Thank you in advance for your help!

Which model wireless network card do you have?  If you go into Device Manger, does the wiereless network card show up under network devices and does it show that it has no problems? Steve
