Try booting into Safe Mode, going into Device Manager, and uninstalling the network adapter. Then reboot to Normal Mode, cancel the New Hardware Wizard, if it starts, and re-run the driver installation file. Let us know if this fixes the problem.
I booted in safe mode an uninstalled the network adabter, rebooted, and did not need to reinstall anything for the internet to start working. Thanks for your help.
