Disconnecting from a wireless network?

I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 the connects with the Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Net.

My question is this:  Once I am connected to a wireless network, how do I disconnect from it aside from shutting down my computer or disabling the wireless connection?  Is there a "disconnect" that I can click on, similar to the "configure" that I click on to connect in the first place?  I have done some searching, but I am still pretty new to the whole wireless world.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

The Fn F2 key combination should turn toggle on and off the wireless radio.  But from your message, you seemed to eliminate this as a possiblity.  The other option is to right-click your wireless network icon in the system tray and choose "Disable", but you seemed to eliminate this as an option too.  So, I have probably not given you the answer you wanted to hear, so that is why I have hesitated in answering your question.
