DLG.EXE application error

I run Windows XP Pro on an Inspiron 8200. All of the sudden, at boot time I get:

"Cannot load CnxtSdk.dll" and "DLG.exe application error".

Something got corrupted.

Thank you for your help,

dbessis,

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.

That error seems to be related to your modem’s driver.
You should uninstall and then reinstall the modem’s drivers.

Before uninstalling and reinstalling the modem driver, I would like to know if the present driver is up to date.

Actiontec MD560RD V92 MDC Modem

Driver provider: Actiontec

Date: 8/20/2002

Version: 5.3.21.0

Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher

Thank you for your help,

Dell-Corey,

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver to no avail. There must be something corrupted in dlg.exe. How can I replace this file?

Thank you,

Daniel Bessis

BVRP Software that produces the Digital Line Detector refuses any kind of technical support for their products when the product comes bundled in a Dell computer. They refer to Dell technical support.
I called Dell technical support. The technician does not seem to even know what is dlg.exe.
Can you help me to find somebody inside the Dell galaxy who could help to find how to repair a Dell corrupted file?
Thank you very much for your help,
Daniel Bessis
