Does Changing channels really help?
I have tried changing channels in the router wizard, but I don't think that's the solution to help with my signal strength. There are two laptops in the house, but they have different wireless cards installed. One gets much better signal/reception than the other. The weaker signal belongs to the dell wireless card. Does anyone know why? Is there a way for me to improve the signal strength for the dell wireless card? It's an Inspiron 1150, Windows XP, etc. Also do I need anything special to network this laptop wirelessly to the Dell 922 printer that I'll be receiving soon?

I have a Canon i950 color printer, and had been running it off my laptop. That became very inconvenient after I received a digital camera that also needed the USB port. So I purchased a Linksys PSUS4 print server. After being unable to get any status back from the printer through the PSUS4, I wrote Linksys, and learned that the i950 had not been tested with the PSUS4.
Back to square one. After searching high and low, I found the Pricom C-6100U. It is claimed to fully support Canon's status monitor. So I ordered one from Total Networking Solutions, a small outfit in New Jersey and the only US reseller I could locate. It worked perfectly! The Canon status monitor is completely supported. I'm attempting to find out whether Silex's other USB print servers work with status monitors from printer vendors like Dell's Lexmark-branded printers. If they do, they'd be a very nice solution!
(edit) I've been told by Total Networking Solutions that the Silex USB print servers work with no issues with Lexmark and Epson USB printers. My only connection with TNS is as a very satisfied customer.
