downloading attachments...who can help
I have a problem, i can no longer download any attachments to my computer, if someone sends me a picture or anything i need to download, i cant save it nor open it. someone said that it had something to do with my firewall. not sure if thats true but im hopin someone can help me...it says its saving but when i go to open it up, its not there..PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME

If this just happened in the last couple of weeks, after installing a Windows update, see if the following applies:

Do you have any of the software mentioned in the Microsoft article running on your computer? If you save the files to a different location, does the same problem occur?

The save as problem happened at this grad school to perhaps three people('s computers) and I just did the fix on one of them today. I had to run Regedit and was careful first to EXPORT the registry before tampering with it, then created the new DWORD as instructed by doing a straight edit paste into the new key, then gave it a value of 1
Are you sure you "did it already" and it "didn't work"?
I have not tested the fix on the system I modified but expect the "owner" of that system to do so tomorrow.
Did yours included modifying the Windows registry through REGEDIT dot exe ?

The same thing that is happening to shortty is happening to me. I've tried what you said earlier, but it still hasn't work. More help please?
