Welcome to the forums :emotion-21:
I can't explain why they would all stop at 10-11%, but it wouldn't matter so much if you used a download manager, because you could simply resume them again from where they left off :emotion-55:
There are a number of FREE download managers you can use/try - including...
The aptly named Free Download Manager
FlashGet (I used to use it myself, before I switched to GetRight Pro)
Download Accelerator Plus (DAP)
Fresh Download
LeechGet
As I've already mentioned... the main benefit of using a download manager, is the ability to resume downloads which were interrupted for any reason.
That's vitally important, if you're in the habit of downloading large files - such as game patches, MODs, etc.
Without a download manager, you'd have to start the download from scratch again - which would be heartbreaking, if you'd downloaded (i.e.) 595MB of a 600MB download :emotion-3:

I think that's not the problem. For some reasons som downloads always stop at 10-11%, and not because of interupted connection. It just don't download more, sometimes 9%, next try it's 14%, but usual 10-11%.
I have one computer running XP in the same home network, and I download the same file there and saved it in the computer running Vista, with no problem! I tried to turn of the firewall also, same result.

nse,
I usually use these Recommended Wireless Router Settings in my wireless router(I use channel 11)
I do use Flashget as mentioned above.
I also tweaked my network adapters...
Go to device manager(right click my computer, left click properties, left click hardware, left click device manager). Click on Network and then right click on your wireless adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
I also tweaked my USB Ports...
Go to device manager(right click my computer, left click properties, left click hardware, left click device manager)
Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign.
Go to each USB Root Hub and right click on it, left click properties, left click power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
Restart your computer.
Try it without the download manager using the tweaks and see it it makes it. If not, then try Flashget. Please do NOT use download accelerators as they tend to corrupt downloads.
