The drivers for the ethernet are on the Dell "Drivers and Utilities" CD. I didn't find any ethernet drivers on the Dell site. Apparently that doesn't use the standard XP .inf setup. My 600M was set up and runs the wireless OK, but since I don't have a wireless router at this location, I plug the router into the RJ-45. But the system, even after the "successful" installation of the Intel drivers off the Dell CD, claims it doesn't have them. This is driving me nuts!
Very good. The drivers from Dell's site as well as the ones off the CD didn't work. But the generic 57xx from Broadcom's site did the trick. We're in business now (with a lot of pulled hair laying on the floor!).

Assuming you have the standard integrated network adapter, the drivers are at:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/type.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_600M&category=5&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2966&devlib=5
If for some reason you ordered the gigabit network card and failed to inform us of that little bit of information, the drivers are at:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/type.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_600M&category=5&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2967&devlib=5
