DSL Conncection Router Problem

Question

I have two machines networked and can access the internet on both machines.  When I switch users the connection is lost.  I then go to the router's setup page and refresh my password under a different user and can then connect.  However each time I sitch users I lose connection.   Can you help?

Does your modem have a connection utility (ability to submit a username & password)?

In response to your question, yes I have a user name and password.  Do I need one for each user?  If so why if I am simply attempting to switch users on the same machine and or a shared networked machine?
