Hi Sujatha,

I did go to Reliance, they bumped me off after showing the USB modem works on other machines with Win7 flawlessly.

Concluding that installation on Win7 must be the issue.

Thanks for other links, I will check them out.

Hi SGYahoo,

Please try on all the USB ports of the system.   If possible check the behavior with a different type of modem from your friend or neighbors.
