Thanks for your response, but I had already tried that. In fact, I have tried every solution that has been offered. The last one was to delete all the entries in the network adapter part of the device manager section. This one not only didn't bring back my wireless connection, but now I have lost my broadband connection too.
Try shutting off your Anti-Virus before you begin the install. I got a similar error on a different Dell Driver install. In that case it worked for me, hopefilly for you too.
I see from several posts that you've been having trouble getting your wireless to work after an update. Let's try a few things to see if we can get this going again.
First, go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall all wireless drivers that you have installed that are listed. Also delete any copies of drivers you have downloaded.
Next, turn your system off.
Then boot to Safe Mode (from a cold start turn your system on and tap F8 until you get boot options, there will be 3 different Safe Mode options, choose the one that says Safe Mode only)
Once in Safe Mode go to your Device Manager by right clicking on My Computer and going to Manage, then look down the list for Device Manager and click the + sign.
Once in Device Manager look for Network Adapters and click the + sign
On each of the items under Network Adapters right click and tell the device to uninstall. Do this to all the items.
Once this is done reboot your system to normal Windows. Once Windows is up wait a few moments and allow the network adapters to reload.
Once they are reloaded reboot your system one more time.
Once the system is back up again, turn off your Internet Security software, especially the firewall)
Now install this driver.
(You'll need to redownload this.)
Now during this install tell me if it fails and if it does where, like you've done before the % where it stops.
Also, I don't remember but have you reseated the card? If you've not done this go ahead and remove the card and put it back in (reseat).

When it boots up in safe mode it tries to load the 1390 wireless card and then says access denied. I also can not delete the Broadcom 440x driver as it says it may be needed for boot up as well as several of the other drivers named WAN Miniport.
