Did you do a clean install of Windows XP (reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows) or a repair intstall?  Did you load all device drivers after reinstalling Windows?  Are you running antivirus software with up to date virus definitions?  Is the Windows firewall turned on?

Which model computer do you have?  Which version of Windows?  What are you trying to connect to?  What is the full and exact text of the error message(s)?

I have a diminsion 4500 and I am running Windows xp.  Dell had me uninstall and reinstall windows xp.  Did that no help.  The messages read" Instruction at 0x77f531f5 referenced memory @0x03018885. Memory can not be read." All of the errors read the same just with different numbers.

About 3 weeks ago I did a clean install Dell walked me threw it and also the device drivers.  It worked for about a week and then I started with the error message.  I called dell again 3 days ago and they had me do a repair install.  I do have Norton Internet Security and it does have a firewall on which is turned on.

Have you checked for and removed all spyware and malware that may have infected your machine in the last 3 weeks?

Yes, I run the Norton Security virus scan twice a week.

Norton will not get rid of all spyware and malware.  It is provides antivirus and firewall protection, but does very little to guard against or remove spyware.  Download, install, update, and run the free versions of Ad-Aware and Spybot and let these programs remove all of the garbage that they find.

If these programs don't solve the problem, go Here and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis. Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in the Virus/Spyware Information and removal forum where a HijackThis expert can offer advice on how to fix the problem:
