Error....access denied

When I open up my 'guests' part of my HD, I keep getting a small window saying the following;

ERROR; Access denied.

I have tried to get rid of it with no luck. Actually I keep working and nothing is really denied. What does it mean? How and why is it popping up each time? How can I get rid of it please?
