Ethernet and LAN driver missing after WIN7 reinstall

Hello All,

I recently re-installed WIN7 after my boss wanted the HD cleaned.  However I can no longer get an internet connection.  I have read other forums/ blogs saying there are programs that can find the correct driver I need but i cannot get access to the internet to do so.  I am wondering if there is another solution out there that can remedy my problem.  One IT person came to me and could not figure it out saying he could not find the drivers and did not know how to solve it.  Thank you for the help!

NateEck10,

When you installed Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) did you install the desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers first? If not the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order If you cannot find Windows 7 drivers, then try using the Vista (or XP) 32-bit drivers, for Windows 7 32-bit of the Vista (or XP) 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit and install the drivers in the Compatibility mode.

Honestly, im not sure I just followed simple instructions from an online video and did a simple reinstall.  I noticed anything about drivers when i reinstalled.

I see the list of available drivers from the DELL website, however i do not know which one to download.  None of them say anything about ethernet or LAN which are the ones im trying to download

NateEck10,

The desktop system utility and the chipset drivers need installed first or the rest of the drivers will fail to install.

Follow the steps as Rick notice.

After installing all drivers search for: (control panel) Device Manager -> netwerk adapters. T

Then search for drivers in the map where you install the DELL Drivers (lokaal station (C:), Map -> Dell Drivers)

Then it will work!
