ethernet card not being recognized
I reformatted my computer and now when i go to do the internet it is not recognizing my eithernet card.
How do I get this without reformatting cause reformatting was a difficult situation (long story)
i have a dell dimension 2400. i use cable high speed. please help me get this computer back to normal. thank you

You probably have not installed the chipset drivers for your motherboard (geez, I must type this same line 20 times a day in these forums). The chipset drivers need to be the first drivers installed after the reinstallation of Windows XP. Once the chipset drivers are installed, you can then install the drivers for all other devices that are integrated on the motherboard, such the ethernet network adapter drivers, the video drivers, the modem drivers, etc. For details on installation of these drivers on your system, see the following and look under "Install Hardware Drivers":
