Since you have the drivers you need to install in the proper order.

The proper order of driver reinstalltion is

System software..if available

chipset driver.

Network(ethernet drive)

Video drive

Sound Drive

Any others.

I have done that exactly, reinstalled Windows several times and installed the drivers as listed below.  I start with the chipset driver, which fixes that problem immediately for the Chip set.   When I do the same for the Eternet Controller, install the drivers, nothing happens.  I have done this so many times and still have the "!" for that driver.  It appears I cannot get past correcting that in Device Manager.   Try to reinstall and update driver from there, searching the computer and even at the Dell Driver Folder level, but it does not recognize the driver is installed on the computer at all.  I really don't know what to do.

Yes, I downloaded the Dell Diagnostic utilities.  When I run it, "Possilbe Error with the Ethernet Controller "the drivers are not installed."  I then click Yes to Attempt to repair this device.  However, it does not repair it.  Even though I installed the drivers, it appears that it is not being recognized at all.

I really appreciate your quick responses in trying to give me ideas on how to go around this.  Thank you

It is a shame, that I am not able to chat with Dell chat, since I don't have the Service Tag for the computer.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
