go here and enter your product model:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen

You'll need chipset drivers and the network card drivers.  unfortunately, as server2003 isn't a supported operating system, dell won't supply approved drivers for it.  you can try the XP drivers or you can try the drivers at www.intel.com

usually chipset followed by ethernet drivers should work...  what happens when you install ethernet drivers?

I got both of those and just cleared up a SM controller problem, however the other controller problems still exist :smileymad:

If those drivers don't work, give this package a shot:

personally, I like to use a program like 7-zip or winrar to unpackage the above and only install the drives -- instead of the proset software as well.

Actually nothing happened at all. However, I have been trying different things so I am reinstalling the OS right now and will install the chipset drivers followed by the ethernet drivers and see what happens. So, I guess in about an hour I will be back to review what happens.....stay tuned!

So I re-installed Windows Server 2003 and got the following problems:

Ethernet Controller

Multimedia Audio Controller

PCI Simple Communication Controller

SM Bus Controller

I re-installed the chipset driver which cleared up the SM Bus Controller problem. Then I installed the ethernet controller again and nothing happened. However, after I installed the drivers from the link you provided the ethernet controller is working! Thanks!! Now I am still getting the audio contoller problem, but I am downloading the driver for that as we speak. The PCI Simple Communication Controler problem I don't know what to do about. To be honest this is the first time I have ever seen this and don't know what it is so I am not sure what to look for to fix it....

Audio - downloaded from Dell - R105155

Modem - downloaded from Dell - R73044

Hey, yeah you'd think I would have figured it out sooner. Well a new set of problems have reared its ugly head. Nothing serious, just a few cosmetic problems. When I try to install the audio driver I get the following message:

An error occured while unzipping. One or more files were not succesfully unzipped. The error code is 110.

What is error code 110?

And despite updating the video driver I am still stuck in 8 bit color....

I assume those use the intel integrated video?  again, you could try the option from intel.com but these (along with the intel.com chipset drivers) occassionally cause problems for people.  is the display adapter being detected correctly with the updated drivers in device manager?

As per the audio drivers, I'm really not sure.  Depending on what audio chipset it is, you maybe able to get them from intel, realtek, etc.
