Ethernet Controller - no drivers?

I have a Dell Dimension 4600, which seems to have an Ethernet card. (There is a spot in the back for the larger cords used with DSL & Cable) When I go into the Device Manager, it says no drivers are installed for this device. How do I get the drivers and get it working so I can set up my home network with cable internet? Right now I have it set up to use USB, but that is no good, I need to use the Ethernet. I put in the Dell Rsource CD, and it said something about "Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet". I decompressed the package that was listed and installed it. Nothing changed. I went on Google and found the drivers for the Broadcom, installed them, nothing changed. How do I get this card working so I can set up my network? (I just have one other comp in the room, and it's Ethernet card is working fine.) I have tried everything I can think of, and I don't want to have to call up a local tech and pay $60 an hour if it's something I can do myself.
Any Help is appreciated.

The downloads section for your particular model does not show the Gigabit ethernet adaper as one of the options.  It is thus more likely that you have the Intel integrated network adapter (Intel 10/100 LOM).  Try downloading and installing those drivers
