Ethernet Controller Problem

Question

I got a Desktop Dimension 8250 Series.  In the device manager I have a yellow question mark next to the ethernet controller.  I went to the driver download and was unable to identify which driver I need.  Any help?  P.S. There is a massage indicating that the drivers for this device are not installed (code28) and I need to know where I can get the installation file.

Have you reinstalled Windows by any chance?  If so, you need to download and install the chipset driver first.  Otherwise, just try the Intel 10/100 driver here: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R56484&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8250&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2834&devlib=0&typecnt=2&vercnt=2&formatcnt=1&fileid=67420 If it still doesn't work you may need to buy and install a new NIC.  They're cheap.
