Did you install the chipset drivers, along with Service Pack 2 (NOT the chipset video drivers - the drivers for the chipset's northbridge itself)?

I have not installed xp sp2 yet.  I think i am going in the right order according to previous info by installing my drivers 1st.  Is this not correct?

The chipset i installed was via document number rg1072687.  Any help would be appreciated.

That is the correct chipset driver. YOu must have at least SP1 (preferably SP2) in place before the USB 2.0 ports will work properly. Install it, then go in and have Windows redetect the USB hardware.

Did you install the Ethernet driver (it's not part of the chipset or SP2)?
