An ISP is an Internet Service Provider. Your phone company or cable company are ISP's
You have to turn off the Wifi Adapter and shut down the computer. Attach the ethernet cable from your computer to your Internet Service Provider's modem/router. Power on the computer. Once your computer is done logging in, you should be able to click on Internet Explorer(or your browser) and you should be online.
i did what you said and it still will not connect. i ran the Windows Network Diagnostics and it says to investigate router and modem issues. i did the steps shows and it still will not work. i have a computer and the modem has no problem with it. my laptop is the only things that is having difficulties.
