explorer won't work!

Question

Hi, When IE opens it just tries to connect to 127.000 and then nothing happens - can't accesshelp, online help, internet options etc. I have an Inspiron 6400 XP I also have Firefox which connects no problem - problem is that IE seems to be the default for stuff like Dell updates etc. Any advice - i confess to being a bit of a novice cheers Melmoth

Your browser may have been hijacked. Repost on the Hijack or spyware sections of the forum and someone there may be able to assist you better.

Also, to start, run a complete spyware scan with an up to date spyware program.

Much obliged - you're probably right, however I chose the restore to an earlier config option and it seems to have worked many thanks

ew ie. try using firefox.
