It sounds like your issue is fairly intermittent. I used to have this problem at home on occasion, I solved it by manually setting my DNS server IP address on the Windows systems. This is how to do that:

Something isn't right then. What are the two IP addresses?

Those IP addresses worked for me with no problem. Here's how to enter those IP addresses.

Are you experiencing the issue right now? If so, go to the command prompt again and type "nslookup serverthatisfailing". For example, if you're having a problem with www.google.com being displayed in Internet Explorer, then type "nslookup www.google.com".
Make sure that you don't see a message such as "can't find www.google.com: Non-existent domain"
You want to see something like the following:
Name: www.l.google.com
Addresses: 66.102.9.103, 66.102.9.99, 66.102.9.105, 66.102.9.104
66.102.9.147
Aliases: www.google.com

I don't know the normal way to get to where I need you to be in Windows 7 but I know you can get there by going to the Start Menu, click Run, and then in that box type "ncpa.cpl" and press enter. That should open up "Network Connections". From there, follow these instructions:

Do you possibly have some kind of parental controls setup on your firewall or on your Windows system?
If not, what do you think about trying Google Chrome or Firefox? I personally prefer Google Chrome. It's a fast web browser.

Are the parental controls completely disabled?
