Is this your first time to experience this error? If it's the first time, did you try do system restoration of your OS.
When configuring voip, did you install software to your system or a configuration only on the voip router. Did you try to ping your LAN Card? What's the response?
Sometimes, there are issues regarding installation of the new hardware whether it's internal or external, it can be compatible or not compatible - if it worked then prior to the installation of the router voip - then your LAN Port might be working.

You can install a small form factor PCI 10/100 ethernet adapter in the 4600C. It will cost you less than $10 after rebate.
