File and Print Sharing Again

I have an XP Pro laptop that I use at work.  It's part of a domain at the office.  I take it home sometimes and share an internet connection (wirelessly) with an XP Home desktop through a Netgear wireless 802.11g router.  The XP Home machine is not part of the same domain as the laptop.  How can I get the laptop to share files and a printer with the desktop machine?  Someone had me try to move the laptop into a workgroup with the desktop but that didn't work (had to use System Restore from the admin account to restore my network settings).  Any better ideas? Thanks for the suggestion.  I'm familiar with NetSwitcher.  The question really is do I have to be moving the laptop (XP Pro machine) in and out of domains and workgroups?  Or can I share the files with the desktop (XP Home machine) without changing the settings on the laptop?

Do a Google search for a program named NetSwitcher.  It will do exactly what you are asking.

It depends.  Some say no but I have seen it work as long as the user from the laptop has an account on the other machine(s) to be used.
