file transfer wizard

I have just purchased a new Dimension 4600 with XP . I am trying to transfer my old files from my Dimension 4500 with XP.  I have connected the two using  a direct parallel cable.  When I run the transfer wizard and get to the screen that asks where are the files and settings, I do not get the choice of the direct parallel connection.  It worked yesterday and I transfered some files, but I mistyped the password and now I cannot get it to work again.  I have deleted both network connections, shut down and reinstalled them, but still no luck.  What am I doing wrong?
