honestly i have no idea what firewall i have..i bought a dimension 3000 and it was installed. the only reason i know the fire wall is the issue is becasue of the error message.
I am trying to access one of the music file sharing sties. lime wire or bear share etc.
You need to consult the software to see which ports need to be opened for these programs to access. Since these are generally considered to be Spyware infested programs, either you Spyware program (hopefully you have one running) or the XPSP2 firewall is blocking access.
My guess it is the XPSP2 firewall blocking access and you need to do some reading on the subject to learn how to unblock the denial. If not, then you might have something like Norton Internet Security running which is pretty difficult to configure sometimes.

Which service are you trying to download from? Are you connecting through a router? Which firewalls do you have installed?
