Found New Hardware: Network Controller

Question

I have a Dell Latitude D610   I was working with my wireless internet fine. Sudunlly the computer hung and I had to restart.   When I restarted, I got the message: Found New Hardware Wizard: Network Controller' and the PC asked me to install it. Trying to do that, it failed because there is right driver. Windows asked whether it could check the internet, but of course internet at this stage was not working. I noticed my wirless indicator is off, while the  bluetooth indicator is on. I looked at the device manage, under Network adapters I found two things: 1. Bluetooth Personal Area Network, and 2. Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller. However, Under Other devices, I also find 'Network Controller' with the famous yellow question mark.   by now I know I lost my wireless access.   Logged in to Dell website from my PC, and downloaded 'Intel Wireless Network 2200BG Netwrok Connection' for the Latitude D610 and installed it. But same problem presist.   Your help is highly appreciated!

Are you sure you have the Intel wireless network card?  Did you try installing drivers for the Dell card? Steve

Yes am sure. I get that from diagnostic screen in the Netwrok of Control Panel.

Anyway, I shutdown the laptop for sometime and started again, valla! Wirless is on, and I don't know how did that happen. hmmm.... maybe it was not a good time of the day or something.
