Gateway?
When I click on start/connect to/show all connections I get my wireless connection listed but I also get a listing under inernet gateway of internet connection. I do not recall setting this up on my router. Can someone please explain what this showing me and how I could have set it this up. On this network I am using a Linksys wrt54g v2 w/ firmware 4.30.

What is the problem you are having? If, as I suspect, you are not able to reach your network gateway then that is a physical configuration problem as a gateway is just the IP address of the device your computer needs to talk to in order to pass network traffic from your local network to the internet (or any other network). As the post you replied to points out, that gateway is typically your router (though it might be your ISPs router, depending on how your network is set up).
